7:12pm: School'sOut for Summer!
Well, almost. I am almost packed up. Kids one more day, then we are free! WOOHOO! I think this will be the summer of the great house cleaning project. I guess normal people clean their houses gradually, and probably you learn to do that when you work all the time so that you can actually go on vacation during your vacation days. Me? Not so much. I tend to save up all of my cleaning and all of my projects for summer vacation. I do mini projects at Christmas and Spring Break, and usually will work through the whole thing. In the summer, I do a whole run of doctor's visits to get those out of the way, and then I clean. Right now my house is in the worst shape it's ever been in. I guess Princess was just turning one year last year, so the past year has seen two children mucking it up instead of just one. I think I am going to have to make a schedule and stick to it. I hope it gets clean soon. I wish I could do like they do on Mary Poppins and snap my fingers and sing and have the whole house go back to normal. *sigh* Wouldn't that be great?

7:30pm: Long Time No Post
Well, It's been a while since I last posted. We lost the baby in March. I found out at my 11.5 week doctor's appointment on Princess' second birthday. It was hard to write about right away, and I guess that's why I've been lax. I'm doing well now though. Surgery went well and my body is finally back to normal. And I'm doing pretty good emotionally. We have all these preggo ladies at work, one of whom I threw a baby shower for last week. It was really nice. I know that some women say they can't stand to be around pregnant women after they lost a baby, but I guess it's different for me because I already have two beautiful kids. I'm really happy for all the ladies at work who are pregnant, and it is fun to watch them experience the beginnings of motherhood for the first time. I think it's really cool.

In other big news, the next two weeks may be my last as a classroom teacher. I have been hired as a Technology Integration Facilitator, so I'll be working at two campuses, training teachers and offering curriculum and software support. It's a big honor, because I know who some of my competition was and they were tough to beat! See, all three members of the technology department at my school applied for and got interviews for this job. A fourth from our building also applied but was not granted an interview. And since those were two of my best friends in the building, I know their strengths pretty well. So I am ecstatic but am looking at a really tough road getting all my junk packed up. 11 years in the classroom sees a MAJOR accumulation of random stuff. I'll miss the kids, but I won't miss dealing with teenage attitudes or angry parents.

Now I get to be an angry parent (J/K) as Bug is starting Kindergarten in the fall. His preschool graduation is coming up in a week and half- caps and gowns; the whole nine. I think Bug is valedictorian. He scored in the 98.8 percentile on his Bracken assessment (yes, I was SHOCKED that they gave my child a standardized test, not once but TWICE this year in pre-K)

I guess that's all for my update. Other stuff has happened that I'll have to write about later, like the hurricane that I experienced a week ago.

Maybe this will get me back on track!

5:21pm: Spring Break is almost over!
And I spent all day working on a web site for German contest. The good news is that it is going well. The bad news is that there are like 50 pages in the site. I don't have all the info yet, but I think it looks pretty decent so far. Actually, it looks boring, but I am emphasizing functionality first. I have decided that I like Dreamweaver. It has only caused me grief a few times. If I can figure out how to do a CSS I will be a happy camper. Maybe someday our family will have a website again. Sigh.

In other news, I wish Princess would stop whacking Bug-Bug with a stick.

8:55pm: Rnadom Comments
The Daqueri Ice flavor ice cream from 31 flavors is still good. But it should be licked from a cone and not eaten with a spoon. It actually tastes different to me.

It is a bad idea for an almost 2 year old to open a 12 pack of caffeine free Dr. Pepper.

Thunderstorms can be really cool.

If you are going to use a tray of pre-made peat pouches to plant flower seeds in, don't leave it on the back porch. A really cool thunderstorm can do wicked damage to your hard work.

Maternity clothes never fit right. My pants all seem to try to work their way off of me while I walk. Which wouldn't be a bad thing if I were say, 20 and cute. 32, overweight, and preggo with #3 doesn't work so well.

8:05pm: Pregnancy Update
I think it's a girl. This is just based on morning sickness, which is really becoming more evening and mealtime sickness for me. I haven't been terribly ill, but nothing ever sounds good to eat and after I eat (especially in the evening) I don't feel so hot. I have been very tired, so it's a good thing I could sleep in until 9:30 today. The time change helped keep the little ones abed. I seem to be having a lot of trouble with the time change. I think part of it is that neither my computer nor TV recorded the change. I am so confused! I went shopping for maternity clothes yesterday to find that very few stores carry maternity and even less in plus sizes. I think I am going to have to resort to catalogs. Anyway, with Princess I had similar sickness while with Bug-Bug I threw up every day for four months. Girl or boy, I am just glad not to be doing that again.

7:36pm: My Children
I have two children who looked almost identical when they were very small.
the difference you see in their skin color is a function of phototherepy for jaundice in the Princess. You can tell them apart because Princess has a dimple and Bug-Bug does not. Anyway, however similar they look, their personalities are very different. I wondered, before Princess was born, how we could get so lucky as to have another sweet, funny, charming child like Bug-Bug is, because everyone told me they would be completely different. I now know that it IS possible to have multiple children who are sweet, funny and charming while also being completely different personalities. Both are happy, playful kids, but Bug-Bug is more the loving, caring, well-mannered sort. Princess is more the spunky, go-get-em, determined, although still very sweet child. Both have amazing personalities and keep me entertained. I find that I am constantly trying to find a way to describe the difference. One example I came up with is that if Bug-Bug spills a drink, he gets upset. He will try to clean it up, and he will run and tell us so we know it happened. It doesn't upset him so much any more, but he knows it wasn't supposed to happen. Princess, on the other hand, could spill a drink and we wouldn't know about it until she came toddling in half an hour later soaking wet. She would play in the mess until she got tired of it, and she would come looking for something else to do when we discovered the problem. Bug-Bug seemed to instinctively know what he was and wasn't supposed to play with. He never got in the trash, and once the concept was explained and demonstrated, he would even throw his own trash away. Not so Princess. She will dig in the trash to see if there is anything interesting in there. She seems to have the same instincts as Bug-Bug, but acts on them in a completely different manner. Today, she dumped the entire salt shaker on the kitchen table. I wonder what new things we have to look forward to with number 3!

11:57am: How Long Will It Last?
So how long can I keep a journal? I don't know. I definitely need to learn to type better. At least it got started, and that's something. It will be a good experiment.
